Language pairing on functional structure: LFG-based MT for English<->Turkish

Lexical-functional grammar (LFG) provides a powerful mechanism to map surface structure to predicate-argument structure. The corresponding representational levels (c-structure and f-structure resp.) enable transparent mappings across languages. This work is an attempt to build a comprehensive domain-independent MT system for mapping English and Turkish using computational tools for LFG.
