LcsL is also funded by a grant from Scientific and Technical Research
Council of Turkey (TUBITAK),
contract no EEEAG-90. The project personnel is
Cem Bozsahin (PI) and
Elvan Gocmen. The objectives of the project are to:
- Design a uniform grammatical architecture based on Combinatory
Categorial Grammars. In this architecture, morphology, syntax and
semantics are treated in an integrated way, rather than separate
modules performing isolated analyses in their own linguistic
domains.
- Test the architecture on the analysis of Turkish causatives.
This includes handling the morphology, syntax and semantics
of causatives, and mapping the semantic form to a conceptual
representation.
TUBITAK support for the project ends by October 1995.
